Supervisor - Maintenance

## About This Opportunity ONEOK is a Fortune 500 company with over 100 years in business and a proven track record as a leading midstream service provider. We're looking for a Supervisor - Maintenance to join our team in Bushton, KS. If you're drawn to career growth and want to work for a company that prioritizes safety, sustainable operations, and environmental responsibility, this could be the right role for you. In this position, you'll help prioritize and coordinate maintenance activities, improve system reliability, and assist with project management, design, and construction coordination at our compressor, pipeline, storage, gathering, and gas processing facilities. ## What You'll Do You'll supervise and direct employees engaged in mechanical work on equipment across various locations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include overseeing work on internal combustion, diesel, and natural gas powered engines, compressors, generators, turbines, electrical equipment, and well equipment. You'll also manage work on vessels, piping, valves, instrumentation, controls, heaters, boilers, heat exchangers, and related equipment. Beyond direct supervision, you'll ensure completion of routine prevention, predictive, and compliance maintenance work with proper documentation. You'll coordinate system improvements and modifications along with special projects, determining what materials are needed and preparing authorization for expenses (AFE's) for major maintenance items. Report preparation is a key part of this role—you'll compile, prepare, and analyze various documents including O&M capital budgets, oil sample analysis, contractor quotes, compressor set-up sheets, vendor maintenance manuals, construction drawings and maps, maintenance plans and schedules, and correspondence. Reviewing oil analysis to identify potential problems and setting Process Safety Management (PSM) frequencies falls under your purview as well. You'll ensure compliance with company policies related to OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements and prepare appropriate documentation. Communication with management and employees about daily work activities, scheduling, and operational changes is an ongoing responsibility. This role may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline. You'll need to be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions, understanding that impaired performance or failure to follow safety precautions could result in serious injury or property damage. ## What We're Looking For No specific education or prior work experience is required for this position. However, you should have strong knowledge of compressors, turbines, pumps, and other rotating equipment related to the gas and gas liquids industry, plus understanding of how to use related equipment. Knowledge of instrumentation, electrical, and process control equipment and systems is essential, as is familiarity with piping, valves, pressure relief devices, and related mechanical integrity inspections. You'll need to be comfortable using computers and applicable spreadsheet and word processing software such as Microsoft Excel and Word. The ability to apply basic math and algebraic formulas is important, as is your knowledge of company and governmental operating and safety procedures, emergency response procedures, budgeting and cost management, and maintenance work management systems. Above all, you should be someone who can interact, advise, and communicate effectively with others. You'll need to train, direct, and supervise employees with a working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures. The ability to compile and prepare reports, recommendations, and correspondence, along with the capability to read and interpret manuals, policies, procedures, permits, governmental regulations, construction drawings and maps, contractor quotes, compressor set-up sheets, and reports is critical. You must be able to communicate and exchange verbal and written information and instructions clearly and conduct oral presentations when needed. Finally, you should be comfortable operating the tools and equipment required for this work. ## Physical Demands and Work Environment This is medium-strength work that involves exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds frequently, or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly. You'll spend significant time standing and walking frequently, with occasional sitting. Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders and stairs, stooping, kneeling, and crouching are part of the job. You'll regularly reach, handle objects with your hands, use finger dexterity, and perform feel perception tasks constantly. Balancing, crawling, talking, and hearing are also constant or frequent activities. You'll work in well-lighted, climate-controlled areas frequently, but also face occasional outdoor weather conditions, wet or humid conditions, extreme cold or heat, dust, fumes, and gases. Moving mechanical parts, potential electric shock, prolonged vibration exposure, and high-pitched or loud noises are occasional environmental factors. Unprotected heights and frequent repetitive motion are also part of this work, along with constant CRT (computer monitor) use. Travel in and around plant, office facilities, and job sites outdoors is required. Based on assigned tasks, you may be assigned a company vehicle requiring the applicable driver's license. ## Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position is $108,000.00 to $162,000.00 annually. ## Our Commitment to You ONEOK is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
